§ 468. “Offences Against the Laws of the Commonwealth.”

In the exercise of its constitutional powers the Federal Parliament may create privileges and immunities and impose obligations, and it may declare that any breach thereof is an offence, punishable by fine or imprisonment. Every violation of public law may be made an offence.
