Kino.
— This is a useful astringent, and this species could readily produce all the kino (astringent gum) required medicinally in Australia, and there would be a good balance for export; but hitherto there has not been a great demand for it. I gave some notes in a paper entitled "The Murray Red Gum (Eucalyptus rostrata Schlecht) and its kino," American Journ. Pharm. lxix, p. 1 (Jan., 1897).
